Foreign Affairs Minister Antonio Tajani is attending today’s military parade on the Imperial Forums as part of the Republic Day celebrations.
Once again this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is participating in the parade with a delegation of officials from the Crisis Unit and Italian consuls, who are at the forefront of efforts to protect Italian citizens abroad, as demonstrated most recently during the crisis in the Middle East. A group of young diplomats who won the latest recruitment exams will also march in the parade for the first time.
Minister Tajani has also recorded a video message for Italian citizens abroad, which will be screened during the June 2 celebrations organized by diplomatic and consular missions around the world.
