On Sunday, September 30th the Health Facilities Infrastructure Data Enhancement Training started in Mogadishu.
Doctors, engineers and statisticians from the Federal and Regional States Ministries of Health, as well as from the Somali hospitals are attending a week-long course to learn and improve the management of the health public sector database built through the Italian contribution and UNOPS implementation, in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Health.
The database management will be essential to have a constantly updated overview of the equipment needs and to set priorities in the management in the Somali public health sector.
The training was officially opened by H.E. Mohamed Saed, Deputy Minister of Health, the UNOPS Country Director, Tim Lardner and the First Secretary of the Embassy of Italy, Fabio Massimo Ballerini.
