Italy is standing out at an international level in the engagement with the youth in the fight against climate change. It is of high importance the “Youth4Climate” (Y4C) initiative, co-led by the Government of Italy and UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), which aims at the active participation of the youth in climate negotiations.
Also this year the “Call for Solutions” has been launched and it is open for proposals until 26th May. The initiative is aimed at young people between 18 to 29 years old who wish to submit project proposals in the following topics:
1) Climate and environmental education;
2) Sustainable energy;
3) Power supply and agriculture;
4) Natural heritage;
5) Sustainable consumption and production.
This year, the call for proposals can be submitted in three languages – English, French and Spanish – and each winning project will be awarded a financial contribution of $30,000.
