The 3rd edition of the UNIDROIT International Programme for Law and Development (IPLD) addressed to legal and judicial professionals in Africa has been extended to 30th March!
IPLD 2024 will be held from 6th June to 5th July 2024: the first two weeks online; and the following three weeks face-to-face at UNIDROIT’s headquarters in Rome, Italy.
The initiative, supported by the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was created to promote and share knowledge of international legal instruments developed and approved by UNIDROIT – International Institute for the Unification of Private Law.
The program tailored to legal and judicial professionals, including judges, public advocates, and experienced legislative drafters from African countries, is the International Professional Legal Development (IPLD).
Its main objective is to provide participants with a deep understanding of UNIDROIT’s legal instruments for the unification of private and commercial law, particularly in the context of sustainable development.
Its purpose is to enable participants to effectively implement these tools within their respective jurisdictions, thus promoting international collaboration, improving mutual understanding, and benefiting from qualified technical assistance in these issues.
In addition, the IPLD UNIDROIT has launched a LinkedIn community to foster a global network of legal professionals committed to legal advancement and development. This platform serves as a space where attendees can engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and collaborate on innovative ideas within legal practice and development initiatives.
