{"id":2963,"date":"2026-05-26T10:32:27","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T07:32:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambmogadiscio.esteri.it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/05\/1-eu-somalia-business-forum\/"},"modified":"2026-05-26T10:54:47","modified_gmt":"2026-05-26T07:54:47","slug":"1-eu-somalia-business-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambmogadiscio.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/05\/1-eu-somalia-business-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"1st EU-SOMALIA BUSINESS FORUM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Union Delegation in Somalia (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeas.europa.eu\/delegations\/somalia_en?s=153\">EUDEL Somalia<\/a>), in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/moci.gov.so\/\">Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/moci.gov.so\/\">Federal <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/moci.gov.so\/\">Republic of Somalia<\/a>, is organizing the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eu-som-itbp.glueup.com\/event\/eu-somalia-business-forum-2026-171285\/\">1<sup>st<\/sup> EU-Somalia Business Forum<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"316\">The event aims to re-establish contacts, on a structured and long-term basis, between major European and Somali companies operating in four economic and commercial sectors that are particularly strategic for the Horn of Africa country: 1) agriculture; 2) energy; 3) digital services; 4) infrastructure and logistics.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"318\" data-end=\"439\">The Business Forum will take place at a venue located within the protected area of Mogadishu Airport on <strong>5th\u20136th October 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"441\" data-end=\"715\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The Delegation of the European Union to Somalia will sponsor the participation of a limited number of European companies in the event on a <strong>first come-first served basis<\/strong>: the package offered is intended to cover the costs of flights, accommodation, and local transportation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Companies or trade associations interested in participating in the 1st EU-Somalia Business Forum may register using the following <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eu-som-itbp.glueup.com\/event\/eu-somalia-business-forum-2026-171285\/\">link<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"195\">The Delegation of the European Union to Somalia is available to organize online technical sessions for companies wishing to obtain further information about the event.
