General Information
The diplomatic–consular representations provide their services according to the principles of equality, impartiality, efficiency and transparency, with the aim of protecting Italian citizens abroad with respect to fundamental rights and personal freedom.
In addition, Embassies and Consulates also provide services to foreign citizens. These include: the issuance of administrative documentation, such as the legalization of documents, the certifications of existence in life and conformity of translations of deeds; the transmission of acts and documents to the Italian Authorities, in the cases provided for by current legislation; the issuance of entry visas to Italy and the Schengen area.
At the Embassy of Italy in Mogadishu, consular services are provided by the Consular Chancery, compatibly with the limitations imposed by the country‘s well–known security reasons. Information on the office hours of the Consular Chancery can be found in the section “Who we are – The Offices“.
To facilitate navigation, the services provided by the Embassy of Italy in Mogadishu have been divided into two sections: for Italian citizens and for foreign citizens. Each menu item contains the information you need to request specific services.
