26 March, 2017 – Visit of the Italian Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Min. Plen. Luciano Pezzotti in Mogadishu

The Italian Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Min. Plen. Luciano Pezzotti, held meetings in Mogadishu with the Speaker of the House of the People H.E. Jawari and the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia H.E. Hassan Ali M Khaire. The Special Envoy paid a visit to the Police Academy of Mogadishu, recipient of a programme implemented by the Italian Carabinieri with funds of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Special Envoy met with Somali Police Officers who attended training courses at the Scuola Ufficiali Carabinieri in Rome. The Special Envoy had a work lunch with the Italian Comander of the European Union Training Mission in Somalia Gen. Morena and met with Amb. Francisco Madeira, Special Representative of the African Union in Somalia and Head of the Amisom Mission.
