“Dear compatriots, friends of Italy, I would like to give you all my warmest welcome to the website of the Embassy of Italy in Mogadishu.
Italy can count on a long–standing presence in the Federal Republic of Somalia and on a heritage of bilateral relations that has its roots in over a century of common history and has shaped a special bond of trust that unites the two countries in all areas.
For this reason, I took on the role of Ambassador of Italy in Mogadishu with great enthusiasm and determination and from the first days of my mission, together with my collaborators, I worked to establish cordial and constructive contacts with the main Somali institutional Authorities, representatives of the economy, culture and civil society, diplomats and officials of international organizations and, obviously, with his compatriots and the many personalities close to Italy.
The Embassy of Italy, the only representation among the countries of the European Union present in Mogadishu, is constantly committed to consolidating and relaunching an unavoidable and mutually beneficial partnership as well as providing assistance to compatriots. This will be a daily commitment of mine and of the entire Embassy, but I also hope to be able to count on the contribution and suggestions that my compatriots and many friends of Italy will be able to offer.
The website, developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, aims to raise awareness of the Embassy’s structure, functions, activities and institutional initiatives.
